Harry Williams teaches science and technology applications at Deer Park High School. He enjoys his time teaching - whether in the science or computer lab. His primary goal is to give his students the skills they need to succeed in a world outside the classroom.
Harry spends his "free" time training technology applications teachers and school web masters Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash. For the past several years, he has taught a web design academy at the Texas Computer Association's annual convention. The academy focused on the power of using Cascading Style Sheets to separate a web site's design from its content. He also conducted web design trainings at many southeast Texas school districts.
Harry also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston - Clear Lake campus. For the past several years, he has taught Web Design and Development, a distance education course for the College of Education.
Educational Background:
Texas Teacher Certifications:
Summer vacation, a time for teachers to recharge their batteries before returning to their classrooms in August. I plan on enjoying the month of July by spending my time visiting friends, reading, and working on my tennis game.
I recently spent some time with the folks at Dayton ISD
- training on how to create and use library items and templates in Dreamweaver.
We also spent some time creating some dynamic pages. Dayton ISD just
installed Macromedia's Cold Fusion on their web server . They plan
on creating dynamic pages to create an online help desk for computer
tech support - as well as offering online staff development registration.

Wow! I don't know how else to describe the week I spent in July attending Adobe's Summer Institute in San Francisco. About 70 Adobe Education Leaders (AEL's) from all over the world spent time together training and meeting with the folks at Adobe.
Our days were intense. A typical day started around 8AM and ended around 9PM. During that time, we trained with Adobe certified trainers, met with software experts about the needs we have in education, and partipated in discussions with other educators on the best practices and methods for teaching students.
I just finished my twentieth year in education. I've been to many teacher in-services and trainings over the years. Nothing compares to what I experienced at the Adobe Summer Institute.
I can't wait until next summer!
